• Day 1 Route: NJP to Darjeeling via Mirik Ridge (~109 km | 4 hrs 33 mins driving time) — Tracking the picturesque western edge flanking the international border through pine valleys directly into the town center.

• Day 4 Route: Darjeeling to Kalimpong via River Confluences (~50 km | 2 hrs 30 mins driving time) — Descending through mountain clefts to trace the emerald meeting points of the Teesta and Rangit rivers before climbing into Kalimpong.

• Day 5 Route: Kalimpong Sightseeing Circuit to NJP (~192 km | 7 hrs 14 mins driving time) — Geographically structured into an efficient loop passing historic villas, monasteries, high parks, and deep forest trails before finishing at NJP.

• (Note: For Day 2 and Day 3, your sights like Tiger Hill, Lamahatta, and the Darjeeling Zoo are right around the town basin and are best done day-by-day with a local sightseeing cab).

Day 1: The Frontier Ascent (NJP to Darjeeling)

Day 2 – 04:00 AM Dawn Run: Drive up to Tiger Hill (11 km | 35 mins) to watch the Kanchenjunga sunrise. Return for breakfast before spending your afternoon touring the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling Zoo, Darjeeling Ropeway, Batasia Loop, and Ghoom Monastery.

Day 3 – Valley Circle: Head east to explore Lamahatta Eco Park (22 km | 55 mins), Tinchuley Viewpoints (5.5 km | 15 mins), Peshok Tea Garden (4.5 km | 15 mins), and the colonial heritage bungalows of Takdah (7 km | 20 mins).
